Saw it on the dock at work last night, 4 pallets of it, all 15w40. My guess is that it will go to select wallys served/located in more rural areas around ohio where farming is more prevalant i.e. urbana, marion. I dont understand why anyone would want it in 5 gallon buckets?

We get Wal-Mart's Tech2000 oil in 5 gallon pails here. 5 gallon pails are a lot more convenient when it comes to changing oil in larger machinery.

Wal-Mart even runs advertisments in the local newspaper bringing attention to the fact they sell 'bulk' lubricants.

A peculiar fact is that the 5W20 viscosity is actually cheaper in the litre bottles per litre than it is in the 5 gallon pail quantities. To each his own I guess.

Boy, I sure miss the good old days, when oil came in nice metal 5 gallon cans.

After the oil was gone, you had a nice gas or diesel can.

I remember my dad using 2 or 2 1/2 gallon cans from Sears for lawnmower gas.

I've bought oil in quarts, gallons, fives, 55 gallon drums, and tanker truck loads. I want the oil package to match the sump size of the machinery and the storage space I have. (One big diesel engine had a 30 ton-capacity oil sump. That was a life-time fill of SAE 30 that was continually centrifuged. The separate cylinder oil was SAE 70 (TBN 50) and consumed about a ton per day. We ordered that in two tank trucks at a time.)
