Sounds like a good deal to me. I think the prevailing opinion on this board is that there's no SM rated oil that's not a "good oil" as long as you're talking applications that wouldn't call for synthetic specifically (extended drains or forced induction).

thanks, i know there is a forum for filters, but since it applies to this I'll just ask it here too...anyone know about ProLine filters? That's the filter that comes with the deal.

i got some formula shell 5W30, 10W30, 10W40 when they had the special or whatever you want to call it at Walgreens (ex girlfriend works there so i got the special plus her employee discount) and will run that with no issues or concerns.

I put a quart of the 5W30 in the freezer for 4 days and took it out and it shook fine and poured out with no problems so i wouldnt be concerned about running it in PA if it were me

You might want check into the media in Proline filter . A few years back Purolator had a low cost line of filters called Group 7, which was a private brand sold to some quick oil change shops in my area and probably many other sales channels as well. The main difference was the media did not filter down to the same micron size as Premium Plus, although in Purolators email to me they did say it still met OE specs. It's hard to tell if the media is the same as the Premium Plus in the pic. I am not saying it is a bad filter , but it might not be the same as the other Purolator branded filters either
