Is the high oil consumption that Dr Haas has observed with Ferrari owners using 10W-60 oil due to the weight or the formulation?

The one and only time I used 15W-40 in my V6 Toyota truck I observed that oil consumption was higher than with the 5W-30 I normally use.

I've used the 5W-40 and posted a UOA (in the UOA section)after 10500 km in my Honda S2000.
Now I'm using Helix Ultra X 0W-30, a PAO/Ester oil.

The oil used in the 360s, 430s, Maranellos, 355 and others is the 5W-40 Shell Helix Ultra. This has always resulted in high oil consumption in cars that I has seen.
