Shell 5w-40 Rotella Synthetic at Sam's Club

I was just in Sam's Club today an saw Rotella 5w-40 synthetic boxed in 3 one gallon jugs for $44.46 for 3gals. That's $14.83 per gal. About $2.00 cheaper per gal.than Wally World.

I use a lot of synthetic Rotella so that helps somewhat.

Sam's Club is a division of Wal-mart.

Thanks for the information. I am presently using the Rotella T 15w40 in my 2002 F350 7.3 with no complaints. I really wanted to try the Rotella 5w40 my last oil change in October for the winter months. I have heard many who use the 5w40 state thier diesels started easier in the cold weather.

It sure made my John Deere (33 HP, 3 cyl Yanmar diesel) start a lot easier than the 15-40 that had been in there before. Throttle response seems much improved, but that could just be the placebo effect.

My brother reported the same change in his F350 dually (sorry, don't know which engine

). He runs it year-round now.
