Shelf life of WS ATF?

Hello all,

I was just wondering how long can Toyota WS last in a bottle, I have 4 containers that were never used from my last trans change but 3 of them were opened and have been closed. It's been in a vehicle for a little bit but then I put it inside my house.

So, how long can WS fluid last just sitting there? Fluid isn't a year old.

It's been sitting in a nice controlled climate vs the stuff that's been in the transmission for how many years? Use it without a second thought.

Decades likely. It lasts that long in a transmission. I personally do not like the WS fluid and feel that there are better options available.

Yup, it is a "lifetime" fluid per Toyota while being used in an vehicle, so sitting in a bottle on a shelf will hurt nothing.

I have some Maxlife on my shelf that is about 5 years old, and some Castrol Synthetic multi vehicle that is 2 years old.
I have no qualms using either of them when the time comes.

they'd be fine for at least a couple decades. id just shake them up incase anything separated and settled.
