Serviced the 10L80E in the 2024 Tahoe today. OE pan drop, filter replacement and re-fill of fluid -- ACDelco Dexron ULV.

Current mileage is at 19,340. I wanted to do this kinda early to (a) establish a magnet/trans pan cleanliness baseline, (b) take away any concerns of break in/wear in debris and (c) make future service easier.

The OE pan was cleaned and set aside, the OE gasket was cleaned and re-used, and a PPE cast aluminum pan was installed. The PPE pan has a nice drain with a huge strong magnet.

Pretty drama free besides the passenger manifold puling the studs out with the nuts. I replaced 2 out of the 3 as I think they were cross threaded by the UAW. It's just a messy job and I wish you didn't have to pull the Y-pipe. But, at least fluid drain and fills are easier now.

The fluid looked like NEW, super clean, only mild dust on the magnets. I was pleased. It drives and shifts just as good as before. FWIW, I did not perform this due to any drivability concerns, just as a preventative maintenance item. I think I'll aim for 20-30k fluid changes and re-visit the filter around 100k.
