The Service Pro Extended Protection filter specs shown here are incredible, maybe even better than the OG Fram Ultra. My question is where did this testing come from? Is it tested using ASTM standards?
This chart shows 83% @5u, compared to Donaldson's 50% @6u, & it's rated for 10K which would be expected for such fine filtering media. ASTM testing would include sloughing off of particles during the 10K mile lifespan, so holding capacity should be good. I have also seen mentioned here that a number of companies' filters are made by this mfg. but it's not clear to me that they incorporate the same media. Are these realistic test results?
I've also noticed the part numbers for their different sizes coincides with Purolator's part numbers, e.g. a PL22500 crosses to an E2500, a PL24011 crosses to an E4011, etc. Coincidence?
