I have a 2005 Ford F150 with vinyl seats. It is a work truck with the 40/20/40 front seat, no rear seating. I would like to put cloth seat covers on it so it will not be as hot in the summer and cold in the winter. Does anyone have any suggestions as far as brand or type of fabric? I would like a decent fit if possible. Any recommended merchants?
Thanks,
Terry

My recommendation is don't skimp. Years back, when seat covers were much more common, they were actually made reasonably well and even the cheapo Walmart/Canadian Tire seat covers lasted years. The last set I tried on my F-150 a couple years back had the structural integrity of wet toilet paper, and I paid around $50 (a simple bench seat).

A tweed is usually fairly rugged. The last set's major drawback was where straps attached to the material. The straps were terribly weak, and their attachment to the fabric was flimsy to the point they'd rip as I tightened them.

Check your local auto parts stores and large 'box' stores.
See what's available and for what price.
Some stuff is indeed crud.
Good luck finding something that will fit!
