Was trying to decide which 5w20 I wanted to try in our newly acquired 07 T&C. Well I figured out how to get a great deal I couldn't pass up which will take care of a couple oci's. As many of you probably know, AAP has Castrol Edge (normally $8.99/qt) on sale BOGO through the end of the month. Well, Walmart sells it for $6.97/qt, and they match printed sale prices. Grabbed 12 qts, showed the cashier the AAP sale ad, and ended up paying $41.82 for all 12, or $3.49/qt. I think I did pretty good.

No doubt you did well, but like you said above is that W-M will match printed sales prices. The price is not advertised in the AAP flyer. It just states BOGO free.

It's definately worth a try!

ok, guess I worded it wrong, but the point was that Walmart matched the BOGO, and the fact that Walmart price was cheaper to begin with, made it an even better deal than buying it at AAP.

Just make sure you find a cashier that knows enough to be able to ring it up but not enough to realize that Walmart specifies that the price must be on the ad to qualify.

You got lucky, Walmart shouldn't have BOGO'd it at most they should have matched AAP's BOGO price if you could produce or verify it.

I didn't realize the actual price had to be printed in the ad for them to match. And here I was worried they would notice the fact that the AAP ad shows two bottles of 5w50 and does not specify it includes all the different weights even though we all know it does. Honestly, I don't think she even looked at the sale dates at the bottom. She just glanced at the ad and rang it up.
