I use the Schaeffer's in house kits which do not include TBN. In this type of service I stopped spending extra for the TBN as it has always been predictable out to 10k "odometer miles". This unit is still under warranty so I'll be staying around 5k drains until the warranty is up. After that I'll shoot for 7.5-10k drains like the older units in the fleet.

I agree, you have a winner for your fleet. Compare this to omnos, which is why I am curious their numbers seem low.(blackstone).

Interesting is the consistency of the wear metals in these and Onmo's... as well as my 5.4L 3-valve truck engine. VIscosity too.

No, Johnny. It still has RP 5W20 in it. Given the low miles I put on annually, that fill has got at least another year to go. The first UOA on it was very good. This time I added an RP filter to the mix. Oil testing for me a a painfully slow process since I work at home and put on so few miles.

As far as the wear metals go, I don't thing you would see a great deal of difference between various good quality oils in reasonably close circumstances. Mine were right in line with Onmo's and these, though I had a few more miles on that either. My driving situation may be better though.

Steve,

I thought that was kind of neat too, so I posted all three reports. I'll have a fourth to add soon.

I would have liked to have seen what the factory fill looked like, but really couldn't justify it.

Thought that I would update and add a couple more reports on here.

So I thought I would update as this kind of shows a nice little trend from near new to 30k+ on the odo.

Also a little side note my rep recently told me that Schaeffer's would implementing a 4% price increase on Aug 1, thought I'd pass that along.

Thanks, REDDOG

Looks nice.

This has me thinking about my Schaeffer's 5w20 UOA again on the Ranger. The add pack was weak compared to yours! Same lab, I wonder if it was a fluke batch?

I can live with a 4% increase in price, my rep gives me the stuff for a hair above cost anyways. Although I have been using other oils lately, I alternate the Schaeffer's in.
