Wuuuuut?

Kind of like how a Chevrolet, a pickup and a two-door are all three different vehicles.

You ARE a waste of bandwidth.

Oh cut him some slack... I'm sure he was just trying to inject some humor in the post and point out Merc's rather odd way of describing how his car acted.

I'm sure you have NEVER done anything like that before. I know I NEVER have... /sarcasm

Exactly this. Thank you, and my apologies for being awkward.

Well Warstud, I disconnected the MAF sensor like you suggested and took the car for a drive. No bucking and jerking with the MAF sensor disconnected; car feels like it has more power too. As much as I'd like to throw a new MAF at it, from what I gather, the computer goes into default mode and ignores a bunch of sensors including the disconnected MAF. At least this way, I've narrowed it down to one of the sensors being the culprit. Thanks for your suggestion; I didn't even know the engine would run with the MAF sensor disconnected.

I was going to question fuel pressure, but if it runs okay in open loop then its not fuel pressure. In open loop i think the o2 sensors are ignored. I'm not sure though that unplugging the MAF disables the 02 sensors.

With the engine cold( i know, no one really wants wot on a cold engine) will wot still produce the bucking, with maf plugged in?
