Scammers on youtube now?

You leave a comment on a video, then soon after you get a reply saying you won a prize:

Thanks for Watching::: You have been selected for a prize. Hit the contact above to claim!.

How is this even possible. I try to even leave a link to a photo or website in a comment, and it disappears in minutes, but this stays posted?

It’s been a problem lately, gamersnexus made a video about it, Linus Tech Tips has ranted about it on their podcast. Supposedly YouTube is “looking into it” but it’s YouTube, where removing the dislike counter on videos is far more important than dealing with scammers spamming every comment.

It is every channel that it happens to and the creators have been talking for over a month.


it isn’t the first scam on YouTube either.
