ha! You should have talked to her anyway, you would have had a starting point!

My guess is that she had a car-guy BF who sent her there with a list. Heck, it might have been one of us....

Wasn't really a hit intended to dent my truck. More of a "I am a good for nothing punk wanna be gangster that sends my woman walking in 108 degree weather to fetch us groceries kind of slap on the truck" Was on the hood and I could see he barely cleared the dust off.

Despite being yelled at, she still thanked me for the ride.

Makes me wonder why women put up with [censored] like that, but oh well.

Amped up on drugs and a weapon? I have a concealed permit and always have my Ed Brown in the vehicle or on me.

When you saw what she picked, you should have asked her to marry you! I mean sometimes you just know! Kind of reminds me of the Zac Brown band/Alan Jackson song.

I am constantly amazed how many decisions are made on "what's cheapest." Cheapest for a reason.

John

I think Supertech is the cheapest.

Supertech is good oil.

Yeah I took at as a punch straight to the door or something like that. I'm glad to see there are people like you with concealed carry that have the common sense not to take out a pistol and wave it around making a big scene that makes all gun owners look bad.

Ive tried many times passing along oil info but its someting people take to heart even if they dont know anything about it. Like my ex's parents just switched her over from 5w30 to a 10w30 because its thicker and its using oil. Thats fine and all but do they realize its the same viscosity at running temp? No. I stopped wasting my time a long time ago talking about oil to people other than here.

There is a guy who gets his town car serviced at my work and always puts Lucas additive in it. Its an 08 or 09 with about 30k on it. He was telling an advisor how he used it in his last town car and traded it at 120k with no engine problems and the Lucas was why. I just kept my mouth shut.

Pretty cool. Just hope by using a good oil didnt blow the engine. They could of used that oil for years. Sludge was keeping it together.

Working part time at an auto parts store, I've saved countless people from using non-detergent oil. Any time they walk up to the counter with a quart of it, I always say, "That's non-detergent. You know that, right?" 99% of the time they say, "Uhh, I don't know, it's for a lawnmower. It says to use SAE 30..." I tell them that's not what they want and lead them to the HD SAE 30. And then there's all the other helpful oil advice I get to give when someone asks.

Unfortunately, I only work there once or twice a week. The rest of the week the store is staffed with guys who don't know diddly about oil. Despite my best efforts, we always sell way more non-detergent than HD-30.

Personally I hate it when a total stranger just butts in to share their opinion without being asked for it. I'm pretty sure majority of people are the same way. That is why I keep my mouth shut unless someone asks.

Besides, just because I’m reading BITOG, doesn’t make me an oil guru, and for all I know, that 80-year old granny that’s picking up 20W50 oil has done that for decades without issues. Why would I want to change that?

volk,
You go stalker man! lol
Grabbing a good combo would be grounds for me to strike up a conversation with her.
