At 200K (and I've had several cars hit that mark), you've likely replaced every component/part/fluid that needs regular replacing...so, nothing special is required...but you will see things that you've already replaced once need to be done again...

Just keep doing what you've been doing.

Clearly your approach is successful

Come on bill!! I wrote it like that on purpose just so people would expect something awful and it not be bad at all LOL. Jeez can't even be funny around here anymore:)

one other note; my 4 Runner (with about 232K on it) uses oil at about that rate, but given the leak at the rear main seal and the leak at the oil cooler, the wetness of the engine, trans and frame members, I don't think the oil is being burned...I think it's just plain leaking that much...

From what I've read in past posts, you've probably already spent more and done more to that Saturn in the last year than I have on all five of my vehicles in the last two or three years combined... None of mine have 200K mi but two are over 100K, change the oil and if it ain't broke or at least about to be, I don't fix it...

I really would use a cheaper oil. I know you got in your rut, but something like GTX is still quality without killing your wallet every 1500. Please consider this.

And I thought he was viewing the planet through his telescope.

I have you beat by 6,000 miles on my 99 SL2.

Luke at Saturnfans had 649,619 on his 95 SL2 last time he updated his profile. You are not quite 1/3 of the way there.

Rolling a Saturn is not necessarily a bad thing due to the space frame. Many people have rolled them with minimal injuries.

I buy whatever oil is on sale. Last oil change cost a few dollars with filter. Factor in top off oil and it was more the price of a regular oil change. I do like to use synthetic oil in winter.

saturns seem to just run for a long time i have 6 quarts of castrol dino 10w30 and four quarts of syntec which i bought for pretty darn cheap a couple weeks ago. i wonder which i should use in the saturn . i could use some in toyota which also burns oil and lets you know it to. thats that quality japanese quality. lol i am becoming a fluid horder i have a quart of qs quart of valvoline the castrol line up 3 different types of p/s various sprays for rust and squeaks 4 quarts of the new slushbox ford fluid and i have 3 oil filters o and carb cleaner. lol

A year or two ago I actually saw someone driving a '98 ish S-series that had been rolled. I guess they rolled it back onto it's wheels and kept driving!

Maybe they should have named it T-Series for its Turtle like qualities.
