I have a saturn ION that my friend wants fixed the reflector that makes the bulb brighter fell off inside and it looks as if I can just put it back on if i can get the front plastic cover off...there appears to be four clips that if I undo those it should remove the plastic cover. Has anyone attempted to do this and is it possible without breaking the cover? Also if I do get it off should i seal it with silicone when putting it back on or just clip it? Any suggestions will help the dealer wants 300 for a new headlight assembly. Thanks

Usually you won't be able to take the clear lense off without using a heat gun or baking the whole headlight assembly in the oven on a low temperature to soften up the glue. Then you have to very carefully and slowly with a lot of patience separate the 2 halves. I've taken a couple of headlights apart, and you definitely want to seal it back together with some weatherproofing clear silicone when you put it back together or moisture will get into the assembly and look ugly and possibly short out bulbs.

ok sounds like I am better off paying 50 from the Junk yard or go with a brighter aftermarket bulb at that point...Ill suggest those and see what they want.

No bulb is going to solve the issue if the headlight reflectors have fallen off. You need to get a new headlight assembly or fix the existing one, even HIDs in there will just create a ton of glare and hazy light.
