Samsung Laptop on sale

looks like an ok thin and light laptop.
ram is not upgradeable but 16GB is decent even with some going to integrated graphics.
512GB SSD is also good for most use.
i7 processor acceptable and not a turd.

you are paying extra for the alum case and samsung on it. The aluminum cases on these are thin enough that I wouldnt say its much more durable than plastic.

Here is an equivelent laptop not samsung with near 100% faster processor for less.(not currently in stock)

Had a Samsung a while back, when the switch from W7 to W10 happened there were issues with drivers. Dell and Lenovo, no problem.

Same problem trying to load a Linux distro on the Samsung.

Is the build quality of this Asus Viviobook comparable to HP ProBook G11?

They're solid but they're more equal to premium consumer laptops like to the HP Envy series. IIRC, the vivobooks have non-upgradable soldered RAM and SSDs.

I think the vivobooks chassis is almost exactly like Elitebooks, if not outright the same, but the ProBooks have at least 3 years of replacement parts and bunch of used parts available.
