Make sure you click on the safty research link that is on that page.

So they have killed people like Toyota's issues have, AND get a free ride from bankruptcy AND are no longer liable for who they killed. Dont you think that is rather messed up?

Thats not bashing. Thats showing cold hard facts and asking tough questions. So yea, i really think they should hit Toyota HARD if history is anything to learn from...

This looks like a bill requesting GM and Chrysler take out insurance to pay for their "[censored]" cars killing people right NISMO? Court settlements not good enough? If it's a bill now, I suggest we talk about it when it becomes a law i.e. reality. Secondly, the bankruptcy LAWS apparently allow for GM and Chrysler to not be held liable, keyword LAW, which again was passed by elected leadership. In any case, I think the bailout happened to rekindle the economy, not to spare GM and Chrysler from lawsuits, and this is the third time I have had to mention this to you.

Your link is non-functional, and I feared a viral download as my PC locked up trying to open it. In any case, I'm sure those problems were fixed almost right away, as opposed to hiring NASA and the National Science Acadamy to figure it out.

Wow, you really only like to see the facts that you want to see. I know the bailout wasnt to let them off them hook, but it was part of the deal. It wasnt to rekindle the economy, thats foolish to think, cause it didnt. It was so a few million people wouldnt lose their jobs. Thus making a bigger mess from their screw ups. You should read what it all included, but i know you wont, cause you dont care. There are plenty other links to show you the facts, but you cant see them cause you dont want to. You are too wrapped up in the Toyota thing. I get that now. I dont blame you on a certain level. Im mad at them too. Ive mentioned that.

You support that families that have had someone die because of a malfunction to be left out of recompence. Unless its by Toyota. I get it now.

Anyways, i respect your opinion. Other than your support of leaving families to hang. Seriously, i do. We all cant think alike. That would be boring i suppose. Its part of what makes the world great.

And i do agree with you on some of your points, but i find it rather silly of you to ignore or make up excuses when it comes to 'the big three' just because "others are bashing first". All car companies are alike on so many levels. You just cant see it.

The link works fine for me. Try updating your browser or PC

Good day sir

Your entire arguement is based on a proposed bill that seriously, I would be alarmed if it ever became a law. I can interpret anything to my benefit just as you can. You should have just posted the safety link and stopped there. Originally, this thread is about sales, and it ends up bashing GM and Chrysler with you and those like you, spewing the same stuff again and again, ad nausium. I'm going to take GMboy's perspective and just ignore you and yours,(unless I see GM, Ford or Chrysler being bashed)since you can't stick to a subject and reguritate the same OLD stuff.

Everone SHOULD be able to vent there feelings good or bad on this site.... and yes I do bash american cars in general because of bad past cars that I have owned..... Last I known is that this is a free country and we can express our opinions.... Not like a line from the old sanford and Son show.... When fred tells Lamont...... When I want your opinion.... I will give it to you..... NO one should be banned from this site.... That is what makes it interestion to read....

Comment from the Det free press.....

Don't be fooled by the Obama administration toyota recall smear campaign. On the east coast, GM keeps running an add claiming GM cars are better than Toyota and Honda vehicles. At the end of the ad, the say "Let the best car win". I agree.

Go out and pick up the latest Consumer Reports ( April ). Page 22 has a graph that says it all. The best cars are Toyota and Honda.

Now, you have 3 options:

1) You are dumb and fall for the Obama Toyota Recall Smear.
2) You are smart, you can smell the Toyota smear, but you do what is best for the UAW and purchase a Detroit junker. Don't complain when the UAW socialist retires at 48 years old on yoyr dime. Unlikely your car will last beyond 120K unless you start pumping cash into it.
3) You are smart, you can smell the Toyota recall smear, and you do what is best for you. Buy a Toyota or Honda. Save your extra money in your 401K.

I am not a Toyota person, but GM is not the best, neither is Ford. I will not Bash any auto company but from my experience with 2008 year models I will say that Ford and GM still has a long way to go.

"1) You are dumb and fall for the Obama Toyota Recall Smear."

This is where I stopped reading....

Prior to that "dumb" statement, I wondered if rszappa1 has even been around to look at a new GM, Ford or Chrysler product.

Please share your 2008 experience with us!

2008 Ford Focus, when assembled the wiper cowl was not aligned correctly. As a result water damage to carpet, odor absorb does not count as a fix. Seal around trunk leaked as well. Ride was rough, worse then my 2000 Cavalier Z24. 2008 Colorado, front end alignment out from factory, low battery light would come on every month(dealer fix disconnect battery to reset computer). Drive line clunk, brake noise at low speed. Also third brake light seal bad.
On a positive note, the Cobalt I traded the Focus for has been decent for the first 15000 miles.
