Safeway warned branded food markers to lower price

Those flakes are a con with their promise of chocolate on the outside and their wholesome grain center!

I like the Safeway Saltine crackers as they're the only Saltines that I've found that don't have hydrogenated fat. Theire organic line of produce is nice, and when we eat steak it's always something from Safeway that was on sale.
 
I've checked out the Save-a-Lot store half a mile from me. Their saltines taste as good as the famous Premium saltines, their cinnamon grahams as good as Nabisco's, etc. All at a much lower cost -- .99 for the 4-stack box of crackers, 1.09 for grahams, etc. The boxes all say "Product of USA," too.

The only catch is that you need to bring your own carrying bags. If you don't bring a bag with you, they'll sell you some!

I'm going to try their produce next. But I'll be sure to bring some plastic bags of my own.
