My Bolt came with those goofy round blind spot mirrors stuck on by the previous owner. I do not use them and think they look ugly so I want to remove them.

Thing is, how likely am I to break the mirror glass trying to remove them?

Has anyone removed these successfully without damaging the mirror?

Thanks for any input.

take some floss or fishing line and use it to get under the mirror and cut the adhesive. then use a solvent to remove the rest. its the same way the remove stuck on emblems
The power pro braid is very thin yet stronger than mono - braid gives it some “teeth” …

I don't have any fishing line but I'll try floss, thank you. Will soften up the glue with wd40 first, I have had great luck with that on bumper stickers and decals and stuff.

Be very careful when removing any left over adhesive after CarLuvrs suggestion. Mirrors like these are "first surface" silvered. If there is a protective coating over the silvering, it will be easily damaged by any abrasives.
Might try a little heat before starting with the fishing line or dental floss. Like hair dryer heat.
WD40 will help.

Let them sit in the sun on a warm day and pull them off, or use a heat gun. Use WD-40 or an adhesive remover to clean off the residue.

if the adhesive is close the stuff they use on phones, iso alcohol seems to do the trick on adhesive
