Sideview mirrors!

I am sick of sitting behind people at stoplights and seeing them eyeball me(when they're not fixing their makeup or hair or whatever) in their sideview mirror.
If you can look in your sideview mirror and see along the side of your car, and see the person in the car behind you, your mirror is not adjusted properly, and you have a gie-normous blind spot.
When a vehicle disappears from your rearview mirror, it should have just appeared in your sideview mirror, and vice versa.
I have never yet seen, since I moved here, a person with their mirror adjusted correctly. This probably explains why so many of them slide over into another lane, oblivious to another car already there.
Well, maybe the mirrors and the fact that so many of the drivers don't care in the least what's behind or beside them....

I read about that years ago in a motor magazing. Push the mirrors out to look at the 'blind spot.' Car moves from rear mirror to side mirror to periphral vision.. Amazes people how I drive through traffic and never look over my shoulder as there is no 'blind spot'

Even if those mirrors were adjusted correctly, few would use them.
Most people drive by looking forward only, and only about 60 feet ahead.

rightyo mechtech. most people dont know how to use mirrors, or look more than 60 foot ahead as you stated.

i am proud to say i can manuver a 30 foot triple axle trailer with a boat on it through a parking lot, do a 180 and reverse down one side of a 2 lane boat ramp into the water, all without any spotters or turning my head arund. just using the 3 mirrors the factory gave me.

i can also parallel park a cat 773D in spaces that would have lyndsay lohan cringing.

i learned how to drive with mirrors on the 773. on that machine, you CANT turn youre head and look around, coz theres too much machine. youre forced to use mirrors, and this has turned out to be a great aid in auto driving for me.
