Should be no problem. May even be a conservative OCI on that engine/oil/filter combo. Of course some will say it is also dependent on your driving habits.

does it matter on cold start ups from winter vs warmer spring weather? I have a M1 and Mobil 5w30 in my yukon and was thinking that given some of the cold mornings, I would only do 6k oci for this set up before a spring change. last oci was 10k with same filter/oil combo and blackstone had some concerns (maybe particle streak) but told me to keep at 10k

Blackstone labs is worth the investment, send out your oil and ask them.

I was changing the oil in our Civic SI every 5000, then 7500, 10,000, 12,000 they told me to go to 14,000 on our next oil change, granted our SI has always used a bit of oil so it's always getting topped off so additives are being refreshed so to speak. Regardless, only true way to know is to send out some oil for a test.

IMO the peace of mind was worth it.

Op.
You'll be fine at 7500 mile intervals depending on short trips and city miles. The oil is capable of much longer drains and we've seen 20000+ mile intervals using AFE in a ford truck.
