Just wondering if royal purples "racing" oils contain any detergents, and if they can be used in street vehicles? I heard rumor that they could, with good results, (from patman?) and am thinking about trying it in my LT1 trans am.

I`ve read as well on many other car forums that they`re racing oils are superior to their PCMO`s and that`s where they shine.
The only thing it will hurt is your wallet...seriously you should be fine.
Those aren't the racing series oils...if they are buy them and sell them elsewhere you'll make some money!

RP's racing oil didn't do all that great on a recent UOA compared to some good 'ol readily available RTS. I believe it was Grampsinthesand's car.
