Filter came off my Mopar 408 stroker. It didn’t have many miles but want to change after I did some work on it. This is a made in Mexico RP.

Royal Purple must not be using Champ Labs for some models, or maybe this was before Champ Labs started making them (?). The date code on the dome of the can is cryptic, but the date code on the end cap of the media cartridge is clear.

I didn’t change the oil, so it is still Mobil 15W-50. Oil filter is Carquest Premium 85515

Thanks for posting. Do you plan to use this model again?

I would if I could get it cheaper than Fram Endurance. I think I paid $12 for this filter, which was cheaper than the endurance at the time. They have now went up on these, to $17.

As for the filtering I still like these, even with the waves. I’ve inspected quite a few of these with low miles and I’ve always seen very dirty oil on the can side and nothing concerning on the engine side.
