Did you know that you can ask Blackstone for their free test kit, which includes the sampling container, and a note stating that the sample is safe for transportation. Go to their website and request. They arrive fairly fast the last time. My feel is I will send to them for Terry's comments.
I think I will do total two cycles of RP10W30 before moving on to the Castrol SLX A3, just to track the trend of the RP on my Ipsum. Good to another Sporean doing UOA. When free for cuppa coffee/tea for a chit-chat?

I have the QG18DE in my sentra, the big brother of the QG family. I have posted several analysis here, all with Mobil-1 that you can use for comparison. I have found that the engine is very easy on the oil. I typically go 10,000 miles on Mobil-1 with good results.
You may want to use the alternate Nissan oil filter, 15208-9e000 instead of the 15209-65f00. It is slightly larger, and will let you add a couple of ounces more oil.

I am not too sure abt the Triple-R oil. Maybe you can check in Mycar forum. Suppose if you want fuel effiency, then you might have to go 30wt or lower oil.... rather than move to 40wt oil?

Some guys at mycarforum are advocating it, but so far, can't find any data on the oil, info given by their website is minimal. Feel like emailing them to ask for datasheet. I agree with you about the fuel efficiency part. Perhaps I'd just put it in for 5k km and see how the analysis turns out ??

When I see a report like this one for less than 5,000 miles, in a gently driven motor, no less, I see no reason to vary from my 68 cents/qt. conventional Havoline or Chevron Supreme 10W-30. ANY dino formula that meets ILSAC GF-3 can go the distance to 5,000 miles with room left over for engines that don't specifically call for a synthetic by the manufacturer.

Thanks for your advice. What you say is quite true, this is my first try of RP10W30 so I was a bit impatient to see some results. The next time I will leave the oil in for 10k miles before doing the UOA and perhaps push the engine harder
