Our CX-9 is soon in need of front/rear brakes at about 83K miles.

I like the Rockauto package deals, but unsure of which might be the best choice.

Here's the options:

- Raybestos R-Line w/ Ceramic pads
- Powerstop
- Dynamic Friction OE 5000

I'm also not opposed to an alternative; RA appears to have some wagner and bendix options as well.

Powerstop rotors and Pagid Silver pads seem to be the best combination available from Rock Auto.

EBC plain rotors and Ultimax2/Blackstuff pads are also a good choice, though not available from Rock Auto.

Wagner makes E-coated rotors for your 2018 CX-9, but they are out of stock right now. Unfortunately, Bosch doesn't make their Quietcast rotors for your car.

Thanks for the good info, I'm not too worried about coated stuff being in AZ. I thought the Powerstop looked decent from what i've read about them.

Jeff, I'll shop around but initial check shows $250.00 for the front/rear pads.😯

I look on Amazon if you have Prime for rotors as the shipping from RA for something heavy like a rotor is unreasonable.

Or NAPA.

I like Wagner E-coated rotors if in rust belt.

Akenono ProAct pads.

You want excellent pads but only need "better" rotors. Spend your money on pads.

I installed PowerStop rotors and pads on the last brake change on my 2016 Mazda CX-9. They have only been installed for a month or two, but so far, so good.

Would you consider the Bosch Quietcast pads to fall in that category?

Mazda OE (on my Mazda 3 it's made by Akebono) is better than Bosch IMO.

Bosch has the classic aftermarket soft pedal feel. Mazda OE has better initial bite.
