I use it in a Bandit 1250 and the clutch works very well...It works better than the Valvoline motorcycle specific oil that I used for a very short interval..
The Rotella has no issues with shearing out of grade any more than any other conventional oil...
Also, Shell engineers performed the JASO friction test on the 15W40 and the 5W40 and they passed....I doubt that most 10W40 car oils would have any problems passing the JASO test either..Perhaps even some energy concerving oils would pass it as some are labled energy concerving because of the weight not because of friction modifiers which a VOA would determine...
