I'd take a Unimog over anything else rolling. That is too nice.

Thanks. I obviously feel that way about Unimogs as well. I think the "highest and best use" of a Unimog for a private individual is as a chassis for an expedition camper.

And the price just seems to keep going up.

Schaeffers is starting too look better all the time.

Type and quality of the additive means everything. Some of these new additives, especially the ones that are not picked up in any standard VOA or UOA are extremely expensive. Believe me when I say the last company in the world to cut back on quality for profit would be Shell Oil Company.

Can somebody update this post, as the original links are now broken. I've been looking for a VOA on the Rotella for awhile and cannot find one.

here you go:

What is with B/S comment, "viscosity ... out of range for a 5w/40"? SAE brackets 40 grade at mid 12 >> mid 16. They shoud not be using "typical" numbers to gauge viscosity out of range for a VOA or UOA for that matter. No?

There was a slight change in viscosity and a change (big or small?) in shear stability.

100C: 15.5 cSt

T6

Yep, a Unicat is definitely up there. There is nothing manufactured on the globe that can compete with a Unicat for it's intended purpose. A Ferrari or a Lamborghini, yes, but NOT a Unicat. They are one of a kind. I am like the other poster. When I am on various forums I always wonder what others do for a living. I find it very interesting. I enjoy having you and Haas on this forum even though I am the proverbial "lurker" the majority of the time. It adds a great deal of insite to such forums and that goes for ANY forum on the internet.
