Here's a rollover accident we worked Monday afternoon. Driver wasn't injured. We were requested by the tow company that originally took the call to assist. He wasn't comfortable working with this size of equipment with only 1 truck. We had it on it's tires ready to go within 10 minutes of arriving on scene.

What's the bill for something like that?
Honestly it will depend how much storage builds up before the insurance settles the bill. If it's just uprighted, towed back to town and picked up immediately usually $1000-$1500. I have worked semi roll-overs before where there was a load to be cleaned up and the trailer had to be cut up on scene and the bill can be north of $20,000.

I don't see any damage. Why doesn't the owner just pay for whatever you charged for the 10 minutes and then drive it away?
That's a good point, but I think some vehicles have fuel cut off switches triggered by roll overs that can't easily be reset?

Crazy!! I see a lot of that around my neck of the woods.. We get high winds and one highway runs perpendicular to the wind. So many campers/trailers and big rigs get pushed over.

There was quite a bit of damage to the right side of the truck. The roll-off container structure was damaged, right side of the cab and hood took quite a bit of damage as well a blowing a bunch of tires on the right side. Also, you can't just start one of these up as soon as they're vertical again, all of the fluids are in places they don't belong and need time to drain back down and be checked/topped off. We wait a minimum of 24 hours to even try to start one.

We got stuck behind a roll-over tractor-trailer accident last summer on I-40 somewhere in Arkansas. It was in a construction zone and the driver dropped the left wheels off the edge into the dirt so it was more of a tip-over. I walked up to the front of the traffic jam just in time to see them bring it up as one onto it's wheels. Then they started it up and drove it away at 40-50 mph. Smoked a bit at first. Couldn't believe it.

I used our crane truck to rescue a lifted pickup driver that got into an oscillation at highway speeds and rolled over in the grass. Pulled the truck upright as a courtesy and left the driver on her own.
