I bought this 12 pack of Motorcraft FL-500S from RockAuto. Looks like a 23 date code? Pleased with this since they were less than $6 each. These have skyrocketed.

The recent C&Ps of these haven’t been very good. But, I can understand if you want to use them or hang on to them. I think a better deal would be the PG2500EX, it’s a tad cheaper as well.

We’ve had torn media, loose glue ending up in oil pans, end caps popping off etc. You know, the usual M+H nightmare's.
Because you can currently buy a good filter .

At the beginning of the oil filter forum there is a date code reference. It seems you are right, made 11/15/23. Good to go.
Until needed, I would store them in a cool basement.
NOT a hot / freezing garage.
To satisfy yourself, I would cut them open (after using) and inspect for any defects.

I've sold 1450 of these in the past 12 months without issue so 
The only issue is when they come direct from Mann-Hummel instead of a FAD, FedEx Ground has their way with them and damages at least one per case.

My F150 and Expedition both use the filter. Expedition is still under warranty. Going to use them in the F150 just because.
I agree with this, easier to view a filter in it's never been run state.
Don’t use. Send them back. Engines are NOT cheap; good filters are reasonably priced. Don’t risk it
Dang, those are substantially more expensive than the ACDelco 12 pack I just bought.
These are known to tear, as discussed above.

I’ve used these in the past and cut open used/unused. Good construction. idk I just wanted to use the OEM in the new car at least.
