Rock Auto Closeout - Rear Brake Options?

Looking for pads and rotors as a set for 2006 Civic EX Coupe rear, any recommendations from the RA closeout? Some prices are quite right so looking for inputs:

They have EBC Greenstuff on closeout. Get them, but quick, there's only one set left

Never mind, it's only the front, and you need the rear

If it must come from Rock Auto, I suggest the Pagid Silver pads. Not on closeout, but the regular price is only $22, which is still fair. Pair them with Powerstop Geomet coated rotors or the Wagner E-coated.

If price is the #1 factor, get the Wagner E-coated rotors and the Wagner Quickstop pads. The Quickstops aren't listed in the Wholesaler Closeouts, but they show up as coming from the same warehouse as the closeout rotors

I purchase pads from RA regularly. I very much prefer the Wagner Semi Metallic 'Thermo Quiet' pads. G-G rated (epic good stopping power) and great feel, long life, modest dust. They are the best bargain going for performance pads today.

I am a serious driving enthusiast, these pads are every bit as good as $150 enthusiast alternatives. And a boatload better than typical ceramic pads.

I got the last pair on closeout for $20.

My comments are the rotors are fine, and the brake pads will most likely work well. For the money, its hard to argue.

I bought some closeout DuraGo brake drums recently, and they were labeled Pro Line. Is that the house brand from Pep Boys?

The Durago coating isn't as good as Wagner's coating. If you look at the other images, you will see the Durago rotors aren't coated on the inside, so it will freeze to the hub.

The Wagner rotors are only a dollar more, and they are coated on the inside.

Yes, Proline is a Pep Boys house brand. You see a lot of old PB parts on the closeouts because they recently closed all their stores and stopped selling parts (became service-only)

I was going to say the same thing - and on that list Wagner seems the most trusted option over the no name brands.

That is a very good point. No coating on the inside will allow corrosion rather quick inside there.

I have the Wagner coated rotors on my van and they are great. Of course, I live in a non-salt area, but brakes are only replaced every few years so I dont really even think about saving a few $$$.
