I have had a couple of offers, one from Cingular and one from my insurance company, USAA, for roadside assistance packages.

I've had AAA for years now and they are pretty good, but also pricey.

I was wondering if you guys have tried any other Motor Clubs or roadside assistance packages, in particular through your cell phone companies or auto insurance companies, and how they have worked out.

Thanks in advance.

Both my cars are covered under Hyundai's Roadside Assistance for 4 more years. I have used AAA, but I got a discount through work, without the discount, I would use someone else.

buy a mercedes, have roadside assistance forever...

Buy a 20 year old used one, and you still have roadside assistance.

I go through my insurance company, GEICO, for this. It's just a few bucks every 6 months. I've had them out for keys locked in my car, etc. If I remember right they direct bill GEICO and I never pay out-of-pocket.

I went ahead and let my AAA lapse and signed up for it through USAA.

The coverage is not nearly as comprehensive, but definitely a netter deal.
