We've all been pelted by stones, bugs, or showered in wiper fluid while riding the motorcycle. All the usual stuff. So what would you say is the absolute gnarliest thing that's ever hit you in the face while out riding your motorcycle? Lets hear it!

I was behind a tractor trailer when a tire blew out. I was lucky I only get a small piece or rubber and not the steel cord. I watch a guy do down while on a poker run when a trash bag fell off a truck. I consider myself lucky.
A wasp hit me on the top lip at 70 mph and ended up inside my helmet crawling between my ear and head. Either it was stunned or not in the stinging mood. I pulled off the road and slowly removed my helmet to get rid of it. I did end up with a bit of a fat lip.
I've had to bob and weave to dodge ruffed grouse on two occasions otherwise I would have been struck on the head. While riding my ATV once, I had a deer run up the side of a ditch and attempt to cross in front of the machine. I was doing around 30 mph and the deer stayed to my right running beside the machine half in the ditch and half on the shoulder. It looked like it had panicked and was desperate to get in front of the machine for some reason. It's eyes were bulging and it's head was so close to mine, I could feel the heat of it's breath on my face.
It finally headed back down into the ditch.

An empty Michelob bottle straight in the closed visor of my full face helmet back in 85.I shudder even today 25 yrs later thinking about it.
In town one day i got a full double sheet of newspaper right over the visor in heavy traffic,talk about a panic attack.

I caught a large by huge dragonfly on the face shield at 70 per. You know, the ones that require FAA registration and flight plans. I dodged to avoid it. It dodged the same way. WHAM!!! Felt the helmet shift a bit from the impact. I had only one small clear spot left to see, at the aforementioned 70 per. What fun. Anyway, got off at the next exit. Took a long time to soak all that gunk off so I could see again. Stupid bug.
A bird hit my helmet and also a guys knee puck flew off at the track and hit me.
On the flip side my knee hit a cone that was at the edge of the track and it flew up and hitting my buddy, nothing happened to him but I did cause a yellow flag.

This didn't hurt but was a PITA to clean off - oil spray from an old Chevette. It got all over my windshield, visor, bike, me, etc. Not nice clean new oil either, but the black stuff that you can tell hadn't been changed in a LONG time.
Too much traffic to pass him and a long string of cars behind me so I had to bide my time. It must have just happened because it was getting increasingly worse - as was the smoke.
I took the Virago straight to the nearest car-wash when I got back home.

Moth. Early morning, Blue Ridge Parkway. Visor halfway open because it was fogging up, this thing managed to find it's way under the half open visor, and wedged itself between my head and the helmet, one wing smacking me in the eye. It was almost 5" wide at the wings. I no longer think moths are pretty creatures. The attached pic is from a ID website, but this is what it was.
i was riding in the mountains along the los angeles crest highway,i have a habit of riding with my visor open..a bee got into my helmet wedged in my right temple area and stung me good..my eye swelled shut for almost two days..been stung before and after that so now i try to keep my visor shut at the least[seems i'm allergic to bee venom]..in the same area several years ago i got it on the knee by a bird,felt like a rock...

As kids, we'd take fire flies, and smear the glowing stuff over our eyebrows. It was pretty freaky looking in the dark!

Been hit in the face with a flying praying mantis. Had to stop and wipe my face off, and rinse out my mouth. It splattered everywhere.
Had a bumblebee go up my right jacket sleeve on 441 going through the Smoky Mountains, north of Cherokee, NC. Of course, there was no place to pull off the road.
It stung me on the inside of my elbow seven times before I was able to kill it.

I've been hit in the forehead by a blackbird. Tore a nice little chunk of fibreglass out of my helmet. Bee flew up my helmet, but didn't get stung!
My friend had a hot cinder from a passing dumptruck's brake pads embed itself in his neck just last week. Looked like a boil.

never got hit bad on my honda. But was pedaling forever up a huge incline on a bicycle. got to top, mouth wide open, gasping for air, 45 mph on the downhill. swallowed a carpenter bee whole, right down the gullet. happened so fast, it was all over before I could react. but I new what it was. throat hurt for a day.

Just this past Sunday, got whacked in the lip by a bee/wasp/hornet/some stinging critter. It got past the windshield and my face shield to get to me. Hurt like heck!!
Took a robin to the side of the helmet one day - I was only doing about 25, but it almost knocked me off the bike...
I hit two birds last year, going about 40. One hit my hand on the left bar, and the other nailed me right in the chinbar. Definitely felt the impact! I never ride with the shield all the way up, because I got a bumblebee in the eye at something like 50mph when I was 18. That hurt!
gnats (like fruit flies) riding over a bridge, around 50mph.. went through what i can only describe as a cloud of them suckers.. went from perfect visability to ZERO, tried to do a quick wipe with gloved hand, no help at all.. so the visor had to come up. had to spit on my shield and use my t-shirt to halfway clean it off till i made the next service station.. Oh worst big object almost hit (black bear) at Deals Gap.. that'l wake you up
