RL advises that additional limited slip friction modifier is not usually needed with their GL5 gear oil (not the "NS" GL5 gear oils they make). I've run RL several times in Mopar cone clutch (Borg Warner / Auburn type) and a couple differed friction plate units, and all had typical shudder in turns with RL and needed friction modifier. All these cars had big / sticky tires and slow ratios, so the torque was pretty high thru the spider nest, so that may have been part of it.
Whats people heres experiences with RL in LS diffs?
