He was good. Long ago he was a PSU hater. He eventually got to like PSU
He often said "Katy Bar That Door" and "Whoa Nelly!!" He also would often say about a teams lineman "And at 275 lbs that lineman is the runt of the bunch." I remember he also would say "And there he goes full tilt down the middle of the field and ohhh no ... how do you do?" when a runner was tackled. Even a a typical blowout 50 to 7 game was interesting when he was announcing. He was funny and interesting to listen to. Keith Jackson is about the only FB announcer I cared to listen to, every one else seems like an amateur in comparison. RIP Keith Jackson
I liked his voice. He was also a good announcer, old school.
