RIP Bob Barker

Honestly, what really stinks is when history is omitted and/or altered.
The history of a game show surely isn't important but omitting 16 years of a production's life is infuriatingly inaccurate.
Lots of "e-entries" claim 1972 as the start of TPIR starring Bob Barker.

The show began in 1956 with Bill Cullen as host.
Bill Cullen was to game shows what God is to Earth's cultural development.
Yep. And the original was much different than the "modern" version.

When the Game Show network launched in the late 80's / early 90's, it was primarily reruns of old, black & white game shows. I love those old ones - Bill Cullen, Gary Moore, John Daly, Bennett Serf and so many others.

There were some short lived shows, too. Like one hosted by Joe Garagiola (sp?).

Legends never die.

He got as close as he could to $1 without going over.

Sorry, had to...

This one stings a bit. I watched a lot of Price is Right while stuck home sick as a kid. I feel like I should curl up in the recliner with some chicken noodle soup and saltines and watch Price is Right in his honor. RIP Bob!

An absolutely terrible, mind-numbing game show, but good for you, Bob B!
I offer my condolences to Bob's family and friends and his fans.
