For those of you that run Synthetic, do you extend your OCI, or do you just like the extra Protection?

Using M1 10-30 I change every 2 years. I also use the MC FL 910S filter in my Craftsman 21 HPP engine.

I only put about 20-25hrs a year on my zero turn. i change it each season. I could probably go 2 seasons but its no big deal to change each year.

My Snapper manual recommends every 50 hours or annually, whichever comes first. I do 40 hour intervals, or about 18 months. It has a two quart sump so I don't worry about it.

On my JD 757 I try to do it once a year but not more than 100 hours. I use Schaeffer 15w40 and a Wix 51394. Has 2600 hours and change so I guess I'm doing something right.

Kawasaki recommends 100 hr OCI. It would take me four years to get there if not five years.
I change every two years. Rotella 5W-40 last time. 15W-40 from here on out.

My 2¢

Lol...I have a 5-year-old mower with 82 hours on it. I change after last use each season and it looks exactly like it did going in. I'm sure I could go much much longer but there's an OCD part of me that can't let it go.

I use synthetic for the protection. Often, the cooling fins can get covered with grass clippings and the engine gets hotter. The synthetic oil holds up better in the heat.
I usually change oil every season (about 30-35hrs).
