What are you talking about? The above statement of mine that you quoted was in response to fastgame's post. I don't recall replying to any of your posts...and fastgame was making statements such as there's no way Rousey can beat Holms as though he knows that for a fact...I'm sure many were saying Holms couldn't beat Rousey before this fight...all I am saying is that no one knows for sure what the outcome will be, and to say that Rousey CAN'T beat Holms is beyond ridiculous...

You are getting your past, present, and future mixed up. I know it happens as we get older.. Again I am talking the past match. RR lost bc HH was better that day. What's so hard to see there? I am NOT predicting the future. I dropped my crystal ball the other week.

Before and during the fight I sat in a room with 25 people like grampi, the ridicule I took soon ended after the first bell. I've been around fighting my whole life so it's not like I'm some average job betting on the hype. I followed and studied Holm. I knew/know that someone who's the undisputed World Boxing and Kick Boxing champ with a pro record of 53-3-3 should kick (pun intended) the [censored] out of an arm bar expert who's main weapon is the fear factor. Rousey's pro record is 12-0 and that doesn't go well against someone who's been there 59 times.

Vegas took a real beating on this fight and it wasn't because of all the little guy's $10 & $20 bets.....the insiders did them in with all the heavy cash. Vegas should have known the way the betting was going down they should have change something, their greed blinded them. There's an old saying in the gambling world, Scared money never wins, Holm camp didn't have scared money, they bet on Holm not falling for the "Fear factor". They won as did I.

You are correct grampi, no crystal ball, wish I could find one.

You only think that because you have not been following Holly. A rematch will be longer......But the result will be the same.

Correct, Holm only needed to learn how to defence the arm bar, Rousey needs years to learn how to defence all of Holm's weapons. Time is short.

I only see two girls that match up with Holm, that doesn't mean they'll win but they have a better chance than Rousey. Miesha Tate and Cyborg Justino.

True and Holly is up in age, her day will come and she'll face the same fate as Rousey. What people fail to see is that Holly Holm is the real example of what the "best fighters" look like.

Thanks for the perspective. Most enlightened post here. Sounds like RR is done??

I went back and watched some of HH's prior fights. She's impressive and quite honestly I think her style will prove to be a problem for RR. I think Holly will also win the rematch when the time comes. RR got destroyed.

I agree with you. I haven't heard of HH, but when I went back and watched some of her past fights, I was impressed and surprised how underestimated she was. RR had no chance.

I think you're the one who is mixed up...I never even replied to any of your posts...

I guess we'll just have to wait and see what happens in the rematch...and FWIW, RR has much more than just an arm bar...she wouldn't have destroyed as many opponents as she has if that was her only weapon...

I thought you were replying to me. I apologize. You are correct.

And HH fights are more impressive if you knew the strategy behind them. HH was questioned on some of the fights because she would get them down and let them back up instead of ground & pound. HH said she wasn't there to destroy someone’s face for fast win. HH had a game plan and things to work on so that’s what she went with. Now people are saying things like she was sandbagging and could have ended the fights at will. She wasn't sandbagging, she was learning the things she would need to be the Champ. RR never learned those with her quick ending fights. HH took RR down and could've started the ground & pound but she let RR back up. HH was the cat playing with a mouse, she wanted to stick it out longer with the tough one.

Don't fall for all the [censored] posted in the news by the so called experts. It may not have been posted in public but some of those experts made big money on HH win. RR is still the big $$ pawn and she'll be exploited by these people. RR isn't done but this sport is short lived and takes its toll on the mind & body. HH just put a big big road block in RR mind.

I feel sorry for RR because of all the people dumping on her. Fact is that her fighting style didn't match up with HH, simple as that.

I'm old school. I find women beating the heck out of each other repulsive. I find MMA a bit too dramatic. Old school boxing was the best.

lol.

I am absolutely dead serious. Libel should be a criminal offense and punished by a gigantic fine (nine figures) and probably a public flogging.

I would have to respectively disagree. Unless you have at least a 2nd degree black belt. Maybe someone with a 1st degree black belt could do OK and do her in. But I have been there and done that. I had a female karate instructor that broke one of my ribs bc she didn't quite pull her kick. So unless you are well versed she would break you like a pretzel in 2 seconds.
She has a 4th degree and her mother has a 7th degree.

As Hatt said..it is more about training than strength.

But yes a woman does not have the muscle structure to compete with a man. My trainer is a woman in unbelievable shape and probably can maybe only do 110 Pound biceps curl. But to be fair she doesn't work diligently with weights.

Well...maybe you are right. I've never even entertained the notion of fighting a woman...at least until I ventured into this thread...lol.

Honestly though, I have a seriously messed up back and probably couldn't beat up an eighty year old woman using a walker.

Before my back got messed up? I would actually give her a go. (In the cage/ring of course). I would have no fear of that. And I'm not trying to be a "troll" or overtly gender biased. It would be interesting.

My wife dealt with people who thought like that when she taught...most of them changed their tunes the third or fourth time she dumped them on the floor. She is much stronger than she looks (I have seen her lift a mounted 22.5" truck tire over her head) and also extremely agile.

In high school, my father attacked her with a sledgehammer, swinging to kill. She put him in the hospital with a broken sternum. At the time, he had 14" and about 200lbs on her. (5'7" and 150, 6'9" and ~350)

Holly sandbagged her previous MMA fights. Go back and watch them, you'll see. She experimented with different fight plans and pacing. She carried her opponent and then with a rush finished the fight.

For this fight there was no sandbagging. Rhonda ran into a wood chipper that we all knew was hiding behind those fists. We finally got to see Holly unchained.

For Rhonda there's nothing like a good ole a$$ whopping to reconnect one with reality. In the weeks to come we will see what she's really made of. (excuse the grammar)

Now we'll see Holly fight Cyborg and this fight will generate an even bigger gate.

After this fight men will now complain that if they do the same job as women in the cage they should get the same pay.

Sounds pretty smart. If you know you outclass your opponent why not get in some practice on the largest stage.
