Reusable water bottles hold more bacteria than toilet seat, study finds

Funny... I've been using the same insulated aluminum water bottle for 2+ years without issue. I didn't wash it after purchase, and I haven't washed it since. It's lived a life of camping and shop with nary a sniffle.

It's sat half full for a week while I've been away, and upon my return I simply rinse it out and move on. It's only used for filtered Culligan water, nothing else.

Color me skeptical, but I fail to see how a simple dirty water bottle can ruin one's health.

It sure can, but one would have to be really unlucky or have a really weak immune system.

Weaker and weaker immune systems is definitely a trend in the modern society. What’s ironic is that all the disinfecting, hand washing and sanitizing is a great contributor to the weaker immune systems.

Who benefits from all of this? You and me of course🤣 Profits are just a nice side effect.
