Any suggestions for a reusable thread locker? Specifically I am looking at using it to treat the threads of good quality pocket knive's pivot screw. Something equal or even less than regular blue thread locker but that can be adjusted intermittently after installation. So far, I've only really found Vibra-tite VC-3. Is there any alternatives?

Seems to me that it wouldn't be a thread locker then...

I'd suspect you just want purple or equivalent, which is designed for reassembly. I'm not sure it is reused after though.

I wonder if the dried on stuff that comes on some OEM parts is "reusable"?

I've seen a LOT of bolts on bicycles/parts come with this dried on and does seem to be reusable. Specifically many disc brake bolts come like this from Sram (maybe others but thats what comes to mind). I wonder what they use.

This, all day long. Your use is exactly what VT is intended for.

I've been using it for over 10 years, on my 3rd bottle. First started using it once I found out why anti-sieze wasn't recommended for single-cylinder dirt bikes.
