Restore with CSL, does it work?

Has anyone had good results using this product called "Restore"? I hear some way it has worked well. My engine starts right up, however i dont know if compression is Great, or Marginal.

I put a can of Lubro-Moly in my engine, and before Auto-Rx, i may give an 8-cylinder size can (I have a 2.5L V6) a shot.

Has anyone noticed good results from this product, and what is it?

It pours out Blue, and apparently it seals the cylinders. Maybe, as an engine enters old age, Restore does something to the Walls of the cylinder, increasing Compression?

Im due for an Oil Change, so this would probably be in my engine for a few hundred miles before i start the Aut-Rx "De-Sludging" and Conventional or HDEO Oil, with or without giving it more than the 3 oz per quart, if anyone has done that with Auto-Rx, please let me know.

I used Restore a long time ago when I thought it would do something. I didn't notice any change with or without the restore product.

I noticed a little less oil consumption and higher oil pressure in my old saab, and less consumption in my 360 dodge

Depends on the car, but for most I would say no.

I used RESTORE in my buddys 97 RAM 5.9L gas engine and it did nothing. This engine burned over 2 qt of oil a month at 100,000 miles and it always burned some oil even when new. Can't get into the warranty issues he had with this truck but, it was a POS. I beleive that the RESTORE contributed to the fouling of the catalic converter along with all of the oil that was blowing past the piston rings during the SL-GF3 oils. I think that products like RESTORE are last resort prior to a complete rebuild. And Im sure that RESTORE has their testimonials.

what did the lubro moly do?


Moly seems to have made it start up MUCH Faster. I mean, like, Instantaneous start, even from Cold. From hot, it turns over a few times. I think it likes thwe Moly.

I was interested in keeping with that theme, and debating whether to add 1 oz. of Moly to the Engine at each OC.

I was even wondering if i can keep it 10W-40 is my oil Pressure is good (60Psi) as i always thought that meant you have a good engine.

Can Restore cause any Harm?

If you don't have oil consumption problems no point in using Restore. Decide what it is you are looking to fix, and zone into that. You can't clean an engine and use Restore at the same time.

I still have a 1992 edition of 'Mopar Muscle' that had a test done with this stuff on an old truck, and they reported that it did help the truck a lot, FWIW.

How so?

This is precisely why i asked this question.

Maybe sticking with 1oz. of Moly per Quart per OC (weird Oil Color) after ARX and no more MMO is what my engine needs.. not ARX.

People who drove it, and didn't know about the additive before and after commented on how much better it ran.

See, im trying to do justice to my Rings. Cleaning them. Thats why i ask.

And just when i mentally prepare myself for ARX, some say it does not do anything.

Ill double the dose and mileage of ARX, that should clean it up.

I think Moly helped my compression somehow, so thats another reason im inclined to try ARX, they say it has good effects IF you follow the innstructions..

1) Add Hot
2) Add right amount, or More
3) DRIVE 500 Miles change Filter at 2000
4) RINSE
5) Problem Solved.

Like Scrubbing Bubbles for the Ring Seals and Engine. Sealing scored things as well.
