Last night, I spoke with a friend that is a full-time RV'er. He called from Fargo, ND. & was telling me about the fuel mileage getting better on his older Ford Pick-up with a 460 engine, in it. He's getting 8-9 mpg's., now, towing a 31' traveltrailer.
While in Phoenix, AZ., he added some "Restore" to the engine oil. He says that the product fills the pits & scratches in the valves, bearings, rings, cylinder walls etc.
This guy's a former mechanic &, now, swears by the Restore.
In the recent past, I read about a lot of products like Slick-50, etc. that turned out to be not much more than "snake oil". Does Restore fit in that same "snake oil" category, along with the other reptiles?
Just curious.
