Would appreciate everyone's opinion on RESTORE engine oil additive. I put in Castrol Syntec 5w30 and RESTORE oil additive and took it directly to the local Chevy dealer who put it on an engine analylizer (what ever you call them) the two mechanics had a shocked look on their faces and called me over. They said, "Your engine has near perfect engine compression!" They couldn't believe with over 150,000 miles on the odometer and knowing the previous condition of the engine that this combination of products could do this. Now the car was owned before me by two nursing students who rarely changed the oil. They used PENNZOIL - the engine gunker. Also, these two mechanics had replaced the valve cover gaskets on the 2.8 V-6 and showed me the condition under the valve covers - so much burned and gunked up oil on the rocker arms that they had to use a screw driver and vaccum to clean it all up. I don't know if the credit goes to the RESTORE or CASTROL SYNTEC or both. Would like to get all the feedback I can on this subject from everyone.
Thanks!
