Restaurant line-cut privileges

His original legacy is gone after Caesar’s sold off Harrah’s Reno. I even remember when they absorbed Harold’s Club and turned it into an attached Hampton Inn. Never went to the National Automobile Museum though. It all started in Reno after Bill Harrah got shut down trying to operate bingo games in Southern California.

Harrah’s had this small casino in Lake Tahoe called Bill’s. I learned how to play real blackjack there, where they had low minimums and no smoking. Was formerly a place called Barney’s and was bought by Harrah’s after Bill had passed on. Kind of a casual experience, and they didn’t provide any comps even though it was part of the chain.
I feel like an old timer although I've only been going to Vegas for 23 years. I started before all the consolidation between the casinos. Caesars was separate from Harrah's back then.

Caesars is purposely plural, not possessive because it's a place to make everyone feel like a Caesar. The history is Caesars and Jay Sarno is very interesting story about the Mormons and the Teamsters and how they funded Caesars and early Vegas deveopment.

Line cutting at a casino or Costco is largely a matter of policy, or lack thereof.

Restaurant privilege is where the party knows the maître d' or other person at the restaurant and there is no line, you get ushered straight to your table.

I blame autocorrect.

The company now is headquartered in Reno. The smaller El Dorado Resorts bought them out and took the name. I don’t even know if my rewards card could be renewed. Haven’t been to one of their properties in maybe a decade.

I never wait in line, nor would I consider cutting in line.
Too many options available to avoid having to consider doing either one.
Where I live attempted line cutting is a guaranteed confrontation. As it should be.

My local Harrah's is owned by El Dorado. Lots of complaints when they first took over but things are starting to get a little better. Still, it seems to cater to the degenerates more than the fun-loving folks.

Last time I saw someone try to line cut, it ended in a fist fight. He was warned to get to the back of the line, he didn't listen. The woman who warned him, wasn't putting up with it, and knocked him out. Many people cheered, and stepped over him. I suggest that line cutters, also be good fighters, because you are making others angry. I personally don't do it, because I'm not a douche bag.
