I bought replacement interior lights for our cars on ebay. I just had to measure the length of the festoon, then ebay festoon SMD and go from there. I think I was under a dollar per bulb. You want SMD leds, and mine have either 8 or 9 led's per bulb. They are brighter than factory.
I also had to replace the T10 bulbs in the doors, and again the SMD leds were better than the regular ones.
I didn't do any exterior, I don't need to look cool and I don't need a reason to get pulled over.
Does it make sense to replace bulbs on a car with LEDs? You are obviously not worried about power consumption like a boat on the hook for example. Other assembles (headlight, tail, turn) may not have the right refection for LEDs. If you are replacing the entire assembly like on a truck or trailer, then it makes sense.

I beg to differ. My old 90 model doesn't have a buzzer reminder for lights on and, sometimes I run with parking lights in the mornings and forget they're on when I get to work. The battery will almost last till lunchtime but, I've had to jump it off before.
I'm in the process of going total LED and I figure they'll stay lit for at least a couple days.
I've omly done the front parking/turn signals so far but, in the process of converting the rear parking/brakes.

I drive with the headlights on all the time. Anything to help increase my visibility for other drivers is a good thing, IMO. But we digress.
I've ordered from superbrightleds.com and while the total cost might be a little more expensive (especially after shipping) than eBay, I've only had one LED bulb fail so far out of maybe 15 I'm using in my Pathfinder currently.

My daily driver has flip-up lights. I prefer to keep them down when i don't need them to see. The LEDs i installed are two color which gives me a bright white parking light which works nice as a drl now and, they burn amber for turn and flasher.
Bepperd-@69 years old I have not had any be cool, look thoughts for quite a long time. I am interested because I want to see and be seen as best I can. Thank you all for your help-it is appreciated.

Have you done any turn signals? If so are you runnng resistors or a LED flasher?

I love led instant on and off, lower power consumption, long life, it makes sense but careful where you get your leds.from, they over price.them many times.
I disconnected the half bleep DRLs on my Camry which ran the H4's at low voltage through a resistor under the hood (does wonders for long life in a halogen cycle bulb (NOT) and use my "parking" lamps which are now all Superbright led conversions. Uses LESS power than ONE H4 as a DRL used to. You can get brighter richer colored LED lamps which last a LONG time and use LESS power. Filament based lamps do not like on-off service like brake lights, LEDs don't care. I use a solid state flasher so I don't get "ricer blinkie syndrome" on the turn signals. Superbright has those as well.
I just replaced the brake, backup and DRL's in my Silverado with LED's from SuperbrightLEDS and they seem to work great. Much brighter and better looking light as well. I certainly recommend them. Ordering was easy and they weren't long getting here.
