I have a GE JSP69BVB8 slide-in electric range that I need to repair. Basically get the control board out. Its also got down-draft venting, so even sliding it out may be a pain. At first look I did not see any obvious screws to get the front panel off. Maybe hidden under the knobs, forgot to look there. I am hoping to turn off the juice, pull the board and reconnect the juice and use the burners. (No oven).

If anyone knows where to get hard to find circuit boards, that would be good. The places I have looked all say "unavailable". So I am sending it out for repair.

If it's like the one I had, when you pull the knobs off there are black plastic nuts around the shaft for the knob that unscrew and hold the trim down.

Have you tried GE directly? Our refrigerator had a board go out and GE fixed it free of charge. GE is pretty good. Our previous range was a GE, needed a part, and they were able to access the old microfiche from 1951, find it, and source the part.

When I keyed in my model it brought me to a section with drawings and part lists. The drawing had 100 parts with a part number. But the part list only have 30 or so and looked like only the ones that are available.

I had a similar issue with unavailable control boards for our range and lucked into finding a NOS one on eBay. Might be worth taking a quick peek.

I removed the circuit board and sent it to Core Centric Solutions and it was back repaired in a few days for a upfront flat $109 + postage going out. Range seems to work fine now. It looks like they swapped in at least a new/repaired circuit board. Maybe for fast turn around they swap things and then take time to fix the broken stuff.

So a positive experience with this company.

I did contact GE directly. No help.

What I sent in was the control assembly (circuit board + display + keypad).
