I've noticed that after so many coats of wax over the years there's some buildup forming down along my panel gaps. This wax is old and dried and can't be removed with a MF towel. I've read that alcohol and a Q-tip is a good method. Anyone have luck with that? Is there a professional product meant for this? The car is black so I have to be careful. Thanks!

Believe it or not, I use a soft bristle toothbrush for that. Just the brush by itself, nothing on it.
Is that for recently dried wax? I have a special detailing brush I use for recently dried wax but that won't take this stuff off, it's too old.

Put a MF towel over a credit card and work the joints with the wax.
As I mentioned in the OP, MF isn't taking this off.
I use a stiff adult toothbrush with ball-end bristles. It works fine on my 1965 GTO with base/clear paint and doesn't scratch!
dose the panel gaps & dried wax with detailer spray and get in there with somthinng small like the afrementioned q-tip, toothbrush, credit card under MF...etc,etc
