Remember when the 'smart gun' was a thing?

Simplicity is a key ingredient for reliability. For a device whose purpose is to save your life in an emergency, "smart guns" have too many different ways to fail. That's in both directions! We normally imagine a failure making the gun inoperative when you need it, but failures could also allow the gun work when it shouldn't.

Smart car ,smart phone, etc has only increased the stupidity of so many. People forgot how to do simple tasks. A bettery powered firearm? What if the batteries die? Catches fire? A novel idea but more problem than solution.

Wow, sounded like a great idea at first until liberal politicians (NJ) caught wind of it and decided to turn a good idea into a tyrannical law.

Can you imagine how far they’d go? ONLY those guns are legal…then you can ONLY buy them with a special license…but suddenly ONLY police/military can have that license. Voila, you’ve disarmed the republic.

Aside from potential tech problems (which I’m sure would get ironed out), this seemed like a great idea to help save lives, but the left decides to corrupt it because they don’t care about saving lives, just control of the people.

Eye opening but I’m not surprised. Thanks for sharing!

Edit : nvm, this gun is far too complicated. The theory was nice though.
