Remember Model Cars @Walmart?

Loved making them as a kid. Have a couple packed away somewhere still for the grandkids.

I remember model cars at Kmart, too.

But my favorite place to buy them as a kid was a local discount/department store in Speedway, IN - Topps. Long, long gone now. But they had the best prices and a huge selection. All the Testor's paints and model glue. Lots of airplane and ship models as well. Spent too much of my yard mowing, and my parent's money there.

Remember when you could go to the Model Car isle in Walmart?

Just spotted these in our newly revamped wm. I remember doing an early 90's S10 pickup that I cut out the roof (not quite convertible) and glued the wheels/tires straight into the wheel wells to give it a lowered stance. Loved this era but appears they're offering them again. What was your story with models and have you spotted them at your wm?

but they arnt 1.50 a box like they were in the 60s and early 70s...
