Regional Only multi-location gas station chains near you?

Kinda life altering, isn't it? They are like Cracker Barrel and 7-11 had a huge love child. I like the brisket too, but peppered sliced turkey sandwich is the shizz.
Don't know what food Sheetz or Rutter's is known for. Wawa it's hoagies but they've got their hands in everything...pizza, burritos, wraps, chili, soups, all kinds of breakfast sandwiches.
Royal Farms it's fried chicken of every sort...they've got a fried chicken and egg biscuit sandwich.

My first trip to Buceees I had the brisket sandwich. I was wildly underwhelmed. Perhaps I was expecting too much from the hype.

My second time I actaully had a salad. For a gas station salad it was pretty good. You know what they say about maintaining expectations.

Haven't been back. It just takes too long.

I think the problem with the brisket is people hype that up too much when they say it’s the best brisket or it’s amazing or whatever which is completely inaccurate. It’s good for fast food/gas station quality which are main choices while traveling. It is not the same as going to legit smokehouse or barbecue place.

Yeah, a pre packaged salad at Wawa is about $6...and another $.50 for a pack of dressing. I steer clear.

Buc-ees is definitely not regional and have a very different business model - more like South of the Border meets syndication. There obviously popular on the interstates but that plan doesn't really work for people every day. Do they have a different model store thats more normal in some places?
Less and less. I used to go to the original stores bcs I had family there and we’d get E0 for the boats … These are nostalgic and remain. A few small towns kept small stores - but ours was sold to Stripes/711 as they moved to build the large Flagship.
BBQ ? What I find ironic is that the largest store (I-10 Luling) is in an area with great BBQ places - but always figured 75% of the folks stopping don’t even know that and just grab what’s handy after using the big restrooms …

I wasn't expecting gourmet. Mine was really dried out - to the point where I was thinking of tossing it (but I was too hungry and too cheap). Maybe I got a bad one.

When driving between here and Wisconsin, Casey's are prevalent in the middle states. I'm not aware of any in this part of Texas.
They are planning to expand much like QuikTrip (but not KwikTrip) did here a few years ago.

If you have a teenager or the sense of humor of one, you might want to stop and get some Kum & Go merchandise in Missouri, Iowa, etc., before they all rebrand to Maverik.

In my corner of the world, Gas-N-Wash would fit the description. Never been but they're all over the south/southwest suburbs.

In NW Indiana, Luke and Family Express come to mind. I used to use a Luke station near Mom's house as they were also branded with BP, but stopped when they stopped accepting BP gift cards.

One other chain comes to mind that's no longer with us. Gas City had a number of convenient locations for my travels (and then some as they had locations in FL and AZ too) but they went bankrupt and a number of the locations were bought by Speedway.

The closest gas station to me is a Sinclair. It has a convenience store, service bays and an on-duty mechanic. The company was recently based in the Intermountain west, but has since been mostly acquired by Holly Frontier.
