I ran a few OCI’s of Maxlife and my leaks didn’t stop. Ultimately I know that fixing the seals is the best thing, but it’s the cost factor, plus the car has 163k on it now. Anyone have experience with Castrol’s HM? Any negatives or positives about this oil? I also noticed the new Mobil Super HM and it is an energy conserving HM oil. Would the difference be noticeable in fuel economy between these two?

LOL...based on the lackluster response, I'm gathering GTX HM not too popular nor is it used by many here

Well, I'm not one of the honchos around here, but I'll say that I used the Castrol HM in a 2000 Mitsu Eclipse that was leaking at the valve cover and it seemed to have stopped. I no longer have the car so it's hard to comment further. My understanding is that the high mileage oils are part synthetic so I would think that they can't be too bad.

I use it in my Mustang all the time, by far my favorite oil. I will say that it will not cover any seals completely neither any oil out there will but, it will slow it down a lot. Replacing the PCV valve will also help depressurize and help with the oil leaking.

MPG I guess is the same?
